Having previously worked as a Post-Primary Teacher and prior to that a Journalist, I thoroughly enjoy my current career as it enables me to help people who want to be helped to achieve career success. As a Teacher, it was disheartening when not everyone wanted to learn, now I’m doing what I love and helping people achieve career success at the same time. It’s like winning the lottery when a client tells me “I got that job”, “I got into Uni” “I couldn’t have done it without your help.”

People find it hard to talk about themselves and essentially sell themselves to an employer. I find clients unique selling points and put them on paper for employers/ universities to read. With a 100% success rate in everything Career Assist does, you are guaranteed a return on your career investment. After all, we spend most of our days at work, so it’s important to love your job and you’ll never have to work a day in your life!

Hi, I’m Elaine I run CVFriends Ltd an online CV Writing Company, I work full time in a leadership role, finally I am a Mum to two amazing boys!

The most challenging experience in my career was returning to work after maternity leave. I felt isolated and out of touch, the organisation had moved forward, and I had changed. I was out of a business and strategic role for 8 months with my life being a whirlwind of bottles, winding, nappies and sleeping. It took time to reintegrate back into the corporate world and regain a career focus, I realised my career approach had to change. Prior to the arrival of my first son I would work at home in the evenings regularly with my sons I was unable to continue to do this and I found myself feeling guilty if I did work at night and guilty if I didn’t. It took a couple of years and a new extremely understanding and flexible boss before I was comfortable managing my career and home life.

I have a successful CV Writing Company called CVFriends Ltd, however I enjoy teaching and supporting people to write their own CVs rather than writing it for them. I think this is a more sustainable model for my customers, and I get significantly more job satisfaction from this. I have therefore developed Careering Mums alongisde CVFriends Ltd. This is where I will deliver online training related to confidence building, re-entering the workplace mindset, CV Writing, Interview Skills and Career Coaching. I want to be able to support other women to reintegrate themselves to the workplace, to have an excellent CV that demonstrates their achievements and potential, to have the confidence to sit in interviews and sell themselves, to re-build or re-enter a successful career fulfilling their ambitions.

Hello … I’m mum to 2 teenage boys & a labrador – we love to holiday, that’s our happy thing!

I’m also a Personal Stylist, helping women to feel confident in their clothing choices & to dress effortlessly, in a way that reflects who they are.

I’ve worked in NZ, Australia, Saudi Arabia & Ireland – as a PA, in the business sector. After losing my hubby to cancer & focusing on my boys until they became more independent, I knew it was now “My Time To Shine”. I was ready to do something that I loved, that I’m enthusiastic about and get a big buzz from.

I’ve always enjoyed, had a natural flare & a keen eye for Styling. So I jumped & took the big leap of faith! I trained with Study In Style in London and now I’ve my own unique business & I’m quite proud of myself.

I focus on my client & her individuality, on how she wants to look & feel.

At Diane’s Dresser, I advise on the colours, shapes & styles of clothing that suit you best. I also offer Wardrobe Organising which gives the client great, honest advice on all aspects of clothing that works for them.

I’m excited to be working on a collection of Slim Me clothing that will shape & sculpt the figure.

I am a mummy to Jude, Ollie, Jesse & Cole and wife to Paul. I worked in Event Management and PR for many years and absolutely loved it. I loved the buzz of events and I really enjoyed seeing how the profile of the business was being built, all over the world, from my PR efforts. But I needed more. I no longer felt challenged and after illness struck in 2016, I took the plunge and decided to retrain in Personal Styling, image consultancy and colour analysis. The London based training was extremely intense. Many people think a personal stylist is just someone who likes clothes. Liking clothes helps but it is a much more technical skill. The business keeps going from strength to strength and I have met some truly incredible women. I count myself so lucky. I often talk about how women evolve and their own unique personal journey but Evolve has set me on a path of self discovery too.

I work with clients in a variety of ways,  finding out what their struggles are and developing a plan to help them achieve their own individual style.

I help clients understand how to use their visual appearance to increase – confidence – to look and feel good by wearing the colours that flatter their natural skin tone, and to dress for their body shape, enabling them to develop a wardrobe of outfits that work together, saving time and money.

Having enjoyed running a successful hairdressing business for four decades I felt it was time for a new challenge, one that played to my strengths, working with people, listening and inspiring, but also helping people be the best they can be.

I trained with Gail Morgan at the Image House in London.

In March 2016 I stepped back from my hairdressing business to concentrate on Style by Iris.

You’ll never again say that you have nothing to wear.
