Why Claire joined Mums At Work:
At the very start of the pandemic, Claire joined Mums At Work and attended the virtual coffee mornings. These coffee mornings created a very supportive network and through the interaction with the other members, she was able to keep up to date with a younger generations and the types of challenges people were experiencing.
MAW also helped Claire brainstorm different ways her business could get through the pandemic by asking the important questions. Mums At Work keeps her in touch with what’s new and fresh to ensure her offerings to clients are relevant.
Claire’s advice for anyone else starting out in business is to be realistic about your revenue from the start and build in multiple revenue streams.
Claire also realised how important it is to raise your profile and reputation. Claire achieved this through joining affiliate organisations e.g. Association for Coaching and networking. Through networking Claire has built up a supportive community which means she can give and receive support when needed.
