Expert Advice from a Business Consultant – Portglenone Event 21/02/18
It was great to see Brigid Duggan at the Portglenone event, I knew she had so much value to give to all the ladies in the room. She had only 15 minutes to transfer her knowledge to us and it certainly wasn’t long enough!
Brigid was the owner of an successful engineering firm and after she sold it, she became a business consultant to give the advice to other businesses (depending on their needs) to others. Brigid tailors her advice to the size and nature of each business and implements systems that can help to take the business forward. She also can mentor the business (funded through various programmes) and apply for available funding depending on the catchment area of the business – precisely what small businesses need, both start ups and ones that are trying to expand and grow.
You can contact Brigid yourself if you think you are interested – her facebook page is here and she is very approachable and easy to work with. The idea of having real business support is very exciting and let’s face it, we wouldn’t know where to start if we were trying to do it all ourselves.
My top takeaways from Brigid’s talk was to ask for help, and don’t give up.
And here is a poem she read to us at the end which was very apt
